I prefer a holistic approach. I want to hear my patient's story. I need to know as much as possible before I decide if we need to start medications or if therapy could be enough. We will use integrative (combined) therapy most of the time. Sometimes motivational or supportive, if needed. I usually work with adults and adolescents 12 years old and up. I am treating anxiety, mood disorders (depression, PPD, bipolar), ADHD, PTSD, OSD, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, substance use, and more. I am a human being, and I can be warm, empathic, and positive. We can laugh together or be sad. We always find goals to achieve and ways to do them. By the way, I am originally from Ukraine, so I have an accent, which you may or may not like. I was guided into the mental health field while caring for my husband, a disabled United States Army veteran, and helping him through his chemical addiction and accompanying behavioral issues. I have experience working at outpatient and acute inpatient facilities, taking care of adults and adolescents. In addition, I worked with the native population, also in long-term inpatient psychiatric facilities and detention centers with patients under court orders for treatment. No push, no rush, an individual evidence-based approach. Deep assessment and evaluation of every follow-up. I believe in a trust-based relationship and going at your pace as you are comfortable.
