Angela Wood, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who provides diagnostic services and medication management for patients with mental health disorders. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Lipscomb University and completed her Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 1999. She has been practicing as a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2000. Angela has a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating individuals struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, thought disorders and other disorders of psychosis, substance use disorders and other addictions, trauma-related disorders, eating disorders, and neurocognitive disorders. She has worked in various settings, including hospitals, residential programs, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs, community mental health, and private outpatient office settings. Angela currently treats children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population. She is currently accepting new patients.

It was a truly excellent experience. Angela actively listened to my concerns and provided feedback accordingly. She showed compassion to my conditions. She took the time to ask me questions and made sure to ask if I had any questions for her. She was kind and I even learned something that I didn't know about my condition from her that she mentioned. I picked her because she came highly recommended and every review that I read was extremely positive and I totally agree with them. So, I'm adding my own positive review. She is awesome. I enjoyed talking to her and felt better after the appointment. I didn't know what to expect and was a little anxious beforehand but as soon as she started, I realized that I had nothing to worry about. I highly recommend Angela Wood for any of your mental health needs. Simply put she is AWESOME!

She saved my life! I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and insomnia since my early twenties. My regular doctor just kept adding on more medications. I switched doctor's offices and my Nurse Practitioner said she was going to send me to a Psychiatric N.P. to handle my medications. I can sleep now for the first time in my life. I do not feel so doped up I can't function. She listens to me. I can not put into words how highly I recommend her.
I also recommend my therapist Leslie Helpren. She helps me a lot. We talk through my problems and stress iny life so I can handle it better. I love both of them.

I love LifeStance I have received nothing but the best of attentive Movie care, counseling, information, and help.
Dr. Angela Wood is fantastic and so is Kaylynn at the front desk.
They listen to you, treat you as an individual, and make sure that you are taken care of medically in the best possible way.

The provider didn't show up for my appointment. I was just in a waiting room at her office with no one at the front desk. She called later that day and offered to reschedule, which I accepted so I wouldn't have to search for another provider. When I saw her, she was nice enough, but for refills of prescriptions, I have had to request the prescription multiple times and go without it in the meantime. It feels like she doesn't respect me or my time.
