About Dr. Anna Chacon
Dr. Anna H. Chacon is a double Ivy League-educated board-certified dermatologist licensed in 47 states. Following medical school at Brown University, Dr. Chacon completed a fellowship in dermatologic & laser surgery at the University of Miami, in which she authored many articles, book chapters, and managed several clinical research studies. She then completed a one-year surgical internship at Orlando Regional Medical Center. She completed her dermatology residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. After graduation she worked at the Cleveland Clinic as an associate staff physician and dermatologist for a few years before forming her own practice. She is currently a board-certified dermatologist in South Florida. She speaks multiple languages including English, Spanish, and French; and aspires to treat her patients like family. She has an interest in rural and tribal health and providing healthcare to underserved areas. She serves as the first and only dermatologist that provides medical care to the Native Americans of the arctic slope of Alaska, Lake County Tribal Health Consortium in California and soon to be Seminole Tribe of Florida and LBJ Tropical Medical Center in American Samoa. She currently is the most licensed female dermatologist and is licensed in 47 states to practice medicine across state lines. First time visiting - visit was for an annual skin screening. The exam was limited to areas I specifically pointed out rather than a full-body visual assessment, which I didn't expect for a routine screening. The appointment shifted towards promoting frequent elective laser treatments. I would have preferred a more thorough diagnostic approach before moving to cosmetic recommendations. May not return.

Not a great communicator, did not even look at me, she just followed the pictures the assistant took. I had to ask her in order for her to explain. All that matters is money, she just went straight ahead with the procedure cost with the insurance.

First time patient, came in person for a prescription refill, my appointment duration was scheduled to be 20 minutes. Wait time was fine. After immediately sending me my new prescription, basically 2 minutes, Dr. Chacon is trying to rush me out of the appointment and I have many additional questions that I want answered. The whole appointment felt rushed and it felt like it was a burden to ask a medical professional questions, which is not how a doctors appointment should feel. As a first time patient and just in general, when I go to a doctors office I will have lots of questions and I don’t appreciate feeling rushed out of an appointment I’m paying a lot of money for after 2 minutes, I want to make the most of my appointment time and get my moneys worth. And my prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy so now I have to call and get it sent to the right one. I don’t recommend Dr. Chacon, my visit lacked care and professionalism.

I have yet to see the dr, the appt was schedule for 11, i was there at the office from 10:30 to 11:15, she didnot show up to the appt and still charge for the services, that was so unprofessional, i donot i think i should pay for services i didnot receive, she was not mindful of her patient.

Unfortunately, this was a negative experience. I found Dr. Chacon uncommunicative and dismissive.
- 25 minutes late. Okay, not a dealbreaker. But then in our discussion I realized...
- She prescribed me a medication that is damaging to take for long periods of time. And didn't tell me this vital information. I explained that it had been refilled several times, and she kept saying "I only gave you three months." Her communication for her plan of care was unclear, with potentially damaging effects.
- She gaslit and blamed me, saying "most patients follow up." But she did not give me a long-term plan of care nor tell me to do so.
- I tried to ask what I should do next, and...
- She hung up on my early on the grounds that she "needed to go to a conference." Even though her appointment was available on the Zodoc website and listed as a video appointment.
I did not feel cared about or cared for. This was a stressful experience.

The MD and the customer service provided false information regarding the cost of the prescriptions. After the appointment, the pharmacist where I supposed to pick up my prescriptions and I have tried to reach out to the MD and her office numerous times but unable to reach anyone to receive an answer. Unpleasant experience.

Made an appointment due to rash on face and my regular dermatologist could not see me until April. I sent several photos, close up & full face prior to appointment and went over everything during appointment.
I have a very long history of cystic acne so she recommended a treatment requiring labs as I’m past child bearing age and allergic to minocycline. She sent over iPledge documents and lab orders. I noted several times during the appointment I had just completed labs two days ago and would upload test results immediately.
It has been over 36 hours since I uploaded the lab results plus I sent a reminder on the new prescription. I’ve received no response from her, though I do keep getting lab reminders via email.
While I found her to be engaging and easy to talk to during the appointment, I’m underwhelmed with the follow up.

She was very attentive and an amazing listener. She really helped me with my concerns regarding my skin. I explained my expectations and my prior experiences with my other medications and she came up with a plan to help me. She was able to get all of my prescriptions and labs I needed immediately. I feel as if my first experience with her was very informative and she really took into account my needs. I was hoping for my first time visit to be this accommodating to my needs. I am grateful for finding a doctor as attentive as her. I hope our appts continue to be this way! As of today and my first experience she deserves 5 stars!

I'm 63 years old and extremely adverse to the medical profession. Additionally, I am less than an expert with internet video conferencing and online transactions. Anna was very patient dealing with both my lack of computer skills and my medical knowledge. She explained why my prefered treatment for my particular ailment would not only be undesirable but why it would be the wrong thing to do. She treated me respectfully and as an intelligent person responsible for my own health. I appreciated this very much.
