About Dr. Anna Chacon
Anna Chacon, MD is a board certified Dermatologist with over 5 years experience. Dr. Chacon obtained her medical degree from Brown University’s Program in Liberal Medical Education. Her interest in pursuing the subspecialty field of dermatology led to a research fellowship in dermatologic surgery at the University of Miami, during which she performed significant research investigations, conference presentations and managed clinical trials in lasers. She then completed an internship in surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency. She completed her dermatology residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, where she served as chief resident. During the pandemic, she discovered her interest for teledermatology and specifically for learning the nuances and differences in providing dermatological care in diverse platforms and across state lines, particularly to patients in underserved and rural areas or busy patients simply in need of care. Dr. Chacon’s specializes in other aspects of dermatology,including teledermatology, surgical and cosmetic alike.
Dr. Anna Chacon grew up in Miami, Florida, and has lived in many different regions such as Los Angeles, California; Providence, Rhode Island, the arctic slope region of Alaska; Cairo, Egypt; Haifa, Israel and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has a lifelong passion for being a doctor and physician, which was inspired by her own father Dr. Chacon, a pioneer in critical care in South Florida and founder of the largest private intensive care unit in the area. After frequently attending work with her father at the hospital, rounding and watching him care for others during natural disasters and times of need with a great sense of compassion, she knew from a young age that becoming a doctor was her calling and what she was born to do.

I have yet to see the dr, the appt was schedule for 11, i was there at the office from 10:30 to 11:15, she didnot show up to the appt and still charge for the services, that was so unprofessional, i donot i think i should pay for services i didnot receive, she was not mindful of her patient.

Piction is easy and efficient. I sent some photos and got professional guidance and a prescription in less than a day. Much better than waiting two weeks to see a dermatologist in person. Highly recommended!

I had the chance to work with Dr. Anna Chacon for some recurring skin issues that other providers hadn’t been able to diagnose. With her help and PictionHealth I was for the first time provided a diagnosis and prescriptions that finally cured my issues after a few months

Unfortunately, this was a negative experience. I found Dr. Chacon uncommunicative and dismissive.
- 25 minutes late. Okay, not a dealbreaker. But then in our discussion I realized...
- She prescribed me a medication that is damaging to take for long periods of time. And didn't tell me this vital information. I explained that it had been refilled several times, and she kept saying "I only gave you three months." Her communication for her plan of care was unclear, with potentially damaging effects.
- She gaslit and blamed me, saying "most patients follow up." But she did not give me a long-term plan of care nor tell me to do so.
- I tried to ask what I should do next, and...
- She hung up on my early on the grounds that she "needed to go to a conference." Even though her appointment was available on the Zodoc website and listed as a video appointment.
I did not feel cared about or cared for. This was a stressful experience.

Anna was able in more minute to diagnose my skin and nail condition. She then was extremely thoughtful and fast to provide answers and guidance to something that has been a challenge for years. Put differently: I wish I had met Anna and used Piction Health years ago!

The MD and the customer service provided false information regarding the cost of the prescriptions. After the appointment, the pharmacist where I supposed to pick up my prescriptions and I have tried to reach out to the MD and her office numerous times but unable to reach anyone to receive an answer. Unpleasant experience.

Made an appointment due to rash on face and my regular dermatologist could not see me until April. I sent several photos, close up & full face prior to appointment and went over everything during appointment.
I have a very long history of cystic acne so she recommended a treatment requiring labs as I’m past child bearing age and allergic to minocycline. She sent over iPledge documents and lab orders. I noted several times during the appointment I had just completed labs two days ago and would upload test results immediately.
It has been over 36 hours since I uploaded the lab results plus I sent a reminder on the new prescription. I’ve received no response from her, though I do keep getting lab reminders via email.
While I found her to be engaging and easy to talk to during the appointment, I’m underwhelmed with the follow up.

She was very attentive and an amazing listener. She really helped me with my concerns regarding my skin. I explained my expectations and my prior experiences with my other medications and she came up with a plan to help me. She was able to get all of my prescriptions and labs I needed immediately. I feel as if my first experience with her was very informative and she really took into account my needs. I was hoping for my first time visit to be this accommodating to my needs. I'm 63 years old and extremely adverse to the medical profession. Additionally, I am less than an expert with internet video conferencing and online transactions. Anna was very patient dealing with both my lack of computer skills and my medical knowledge. She explained why my prefered treatment for my particular ailment would not only be undesirable but why it would be the wrong thing to do. She treated me respectfully and as an intelligent person responsible for my own health. I appreciated this very much.
