Anna Tai, RD

Dietitian
HI
I started out as a pediatric dietitian, helping parents with kids who had feeding disorders, picky eating, and more—with great success. Then I began seeing adults for weight loss and soon witnessed the disappointment that conventional advice of “eat less and move more” does not work for most women struggling with weight loss. In fact, it often causes more harm, leading to nutrient deficiencies, binge eating, food cravings, gut issues, food sensitivities, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and low confidence. With my unique holistic nutrition therapy approach, I helped these women achieve significant weight loss they hadn’t seen in years. Yet, almost everyone eventually reverted to old eating habits after 2–3 months. I was baffled. It took me a while to realize these women were struggling with emotional eating disguised as “I have a sweet tooth,” “I love junk food,” or “I love sweets,” using food as therapy for stress, anger, resentment, sadness, boredom, and more. That’s when I understood nutrition therapy alone doesn’t work long term. What these women really need is to understand the deep unconscious emotional root causes of their weight, body issues, and disordered eating behaviors. That realization led me to become a certified hypnotherapist, enabling me to help clients achieve the rapid transformational results they deserve. Our mission is to help women struggling with weight loss realize their weight is not their problem. In my years working with these women, I’ve seen many develop disordered eating behaviors from years of dieting and ignoring their body’s needs. Many also have histories of physical and sexual abuse, leading them to use food to feel safe and connected. I want to help them stop their suffering and address the real underlying issues—not just their weight.. I want to help them stop their suffering and address the real underlying issues—not just their weight.
