About Dr. Anne Chang-Godinich
Anne Chang-Godinich is a renowned and personable ophthalmologist working in Cypress and Houston, Texas. She earned her medical degree and completed her ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She was then selected fellowship training as a Heed Fellow in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at New England Eye Center at Tufts School of Medicine in Boston.
Dr. Chang-Godinich offers complete eye care from routine exams and lens fitting to LASIK surgery and sty removal. Anne Chang-Godinich, MD & especially the entire staff was polite & did all their jobs seamlessly. The tech/assistant, the one that does everything prior to the moment Anne Chang-Godinich, MD came in set the tone as a happy place to work & visit, his attention to detail was excellent. Anne Chang-Godinich, MD is an excellent bed side manner, professional. She reviewed my paperwork, asked questions that pertain to it. So all in all, a perfect experience.

I was really disappointed in service overall for Dr Chang and of her office. I was having some small annoyances/issues and needed a routine eye exam. I checked in and sat down and realized immediately that the other patients were probably coming in for bigger issues. I got called back in a reasonable amount of time and an assistant got started on the preliminary tests. I talked to that person thoroughly about what I'd been experiencing and she asked thoughtful questions and wrote notes down for the doctor. My eyes were dilated and I was led into a different room and was told to wait for the doctor. The doctor came in a few minutes later, looked over my chart, checked my eyes and then chuckled at my "symptoms" and said "you're getting old!" and then walked out. Under 5 minutes. Done. I was insulted as I am newly into my 30s and doubt highly that my symptoms were purely indicative of me being "old". I walked out, my eyes still dilated and was told to pay my co-pay. Another person stands next to me to pay and the receptionist takes BOTH our cards at the same time and then makes a joke about "hoping she doesn't mix them up!" I mention that I should get a sample set of contacts. The girl looks confused but walks away and then hands me a little baggie. I get my card back, can't read it because of my eyes, put it in my wallet and walk out. I realize immediately that she didn't give me contacts but something else entirely. UGH. The next day when I'm at Target I realize that she DID mix up our credit cards. I immediately put a hold on my card and call the doctor's office which tells me "can't you just cancel it?" Not helpful at all. Eventually the office manager did meet with me and apologize, but too little too late at that point. In short - I would not recommend this office unless you have something more seriously wrong with your eyes and the doctor chooses to be interested in you. I would also be more careful with what they're doing and make sure to not leave until you have a full explanation - which is much harder here than it should be.

When we arrived the front desk was nice and helped us right away. They explained everything we need to fill out. We arrived early and we hardly waited in the waiting area. The doctors assistant was extremely nice and helpful when taking all the preliminary information.
The Dr. Anne Chang Godinich was amazing. She examen both eyes carefully and paid attention to details. She pays attention to what we have to say and why we came in. She answered all of our questions and explain everything with detail.

The overall visit was great! Though I felt the doctor was in a hurry and did not spend as much time I would like to explain why I have an eye allergy etc.
The cost of the visit was quite economical, the assistant even gave a coupon to get eye drops in a better price, but the coupon was expired. I was lucky to see it while I was still waiting to pay, and I immediately got another one! I appreciate their help to buy my medicine cheaper, but they should always check what they give to clients - I could surely not even think of checking the expiration date on the coupon.

The only downside was the wait time so bring a book or something to do while you wait. That said,, I did not feel rushed at all when meeting with the Doctor which is probably why the wait time is longer. Very professional, explained all options - she is my new eye doctor.
