About Dr. Annette Okereke
Some challenges and transitions people encounter each day can change outlook, cause stress, and bring difficulties such as sadness, panic, depression, anxiety, and emotional shock. These situations may leave clients confused, distraught, and overwhelmed. My focus is to help clients deal with these presenting issues. Working through stressful times and helping clients attain their optimal level of functioning is a priority. Medication management is an important part of this practice; however, different treatment methods are used and tailored to fit each individual client’s needs.
Opportunities to learn, adjust, acquire coping skills, and explore growth pathways are provided. The goal is to equip clients to work toward self-actualization. Management of adjustment difficulties, divorce, anxiety, image issues, ADHD, depression, and a variety of emotional and psychological challenges are addressed as needed.
A holistic approach and preventative care are emphasized and used in care management. Spiritual and emotional issues are addressed as needed. Collaboration with other experts is pursued when necessary to ensure best practice.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell; a Master’s in Nursing from Regis College; and a Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing along with a Bachelor’s degree from Simmons University.
