About Ansgar Lee
Ansgar can't count the number of times he's been asked why he chose acupuncture as his profession. Throughout his childhood, he suffered from severe seasonal allergies and frequent colds. His immune system was weak, and he would often sneeze twenty or more times per minute, making him gasp for air. His allergies were so severe they affected his concentration and sleep patterns. He was allergic to many environmental allergens-dust, trees, grass, weeds, pollen, cats, dogs, and even certain foods. He visited numerous doctors and was always prescribed a list of medications. One doctor even told his family to move to California because allergen levels were lower.
Needless to say, the medications were not helpful, and moving cross-country was not an option. As a last resort, his parents brought him to see a Chinese herbalist and acupuncturist. After about 10 sessions of acupuncture and Chinese herbs, he felt a significant difference; finally, something worked. He was able to breathe a breath of fresh air again.
Inspired by his own healing journey, Ansgar pursued formal education in this field. He earned an Associate's degree and a Master's in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science. Now, Ansgar wants to provide the same life-changing healing to others by offering Chinese medicine to his community.

I have had acupuncture for years and I have never met a single Acupuncturist as skilled, friendly, kind and warm as Ansgar. Not only is he fun to talk to, but his acupuncture skills are unmatched. His history, exam and treatment plan were so thorough, I can tell he has so much experience. He really listened to my concerns and showed a genuine interest, which is so rare in this city. His manual therapy technique worked magic for me. I did not even feel a single needle going in, the electric stim really helped my main concern and I felt extremely comfortable and at ease. I am going to send all of my friends and family to Ansgar. Just know if you are choosing Ansgar as your Acupuncturist, you are in good hands. He is simply the best at what he does and so passionate. I learned a lot about my issue at hand and walked out feeling so much less pain. This practice also has the most calming treatment rooms, comfortable tables, friendly staff!

Ansgar is AMAZING. He helped me so much with stomach issues I was having, and got me fully off of medication and feeling 100%. I also have neck / jaw problems that cause me daily pain and I felt instant relief that I haven’t felt in years.
He is incredibly thorough and intuitive, would recommend him to absolutely anyone!!

Mr. Lee is fabulous. Smart, willing to share that information with me as to how/why what he was doing was helping, and tried different techniques like massaging? My leg to activate blood in my foot (I came in for acupuncture). I could feel a difference in my foot while the needles were in, when he asked me. Also, he gave me a free bottle of Chinese herbs to use to help my foot! Can’t wait to go back. I’ve had 3 surgeries on the same foot and it’s been a pain in the…foot. Looking forward to going back.

I literally can not describe to you the difference dr Lee has done for me. I have had severe neck tightness and shoulder pain for nearly a year and have seen various chiropractors and masseuses to try and help. Dr Lee was more effective in my first visit than all of those providers combined. He truly listened to my concerns and addressed them directly and personalized. He’s able to determine the root cause and treat accordingly - he does not hold back! I HIGHLY recommend you see him, he is very skilled and his bedside manner is fantastic.

This was my first time having Acupuncture. I’m struggling with a lower back herniated disc. From booking to treatment, the level of care from the staff and Dr. Lee was exceptional. Dr. Lee was very thorough and took his time to understand & communicate every step of the process. Extremely knowledgeable of his craft and I felt so much relief after my first visit.

I visited dr.Lee for TMJ and neck pain. He was very professional and recommended a course of treatments. He was calm and made me feel at ease during the visit. Felt immediate relief during acupuncture. Massage helped released the knots.

Office and room is clean and soothing. Dr. Lee takes his time to know exactly where you are feeling pain. He has helped me with hip and lower back pain and haven't felt this good. Highly recommended, his knowledge and care is well worth it.

Doctor Lee is extremely experienced in this field, with his untraditional approach to treatment. I’ve been to many acupuncture clinics but none of them have treated my injuries the way Doctor Lee and his team did. Within a couple of weeks I saw results from my old back pain, amazing!

This place is fantastic. If you wanT bodywork done, I would travel here from anywhere in Manhattan. It happens to be close to my home, but worth a trip if you want outstanding bodywork done. Cupping, accupuncture etc. They are great!

I have been a patient of his for 2 1/2 years for cervical spine issues. With his help along with home exercises he has been an integral part of helping ease my chronic neck and upper back pain with the use of acupuncture, acupressure and cupping.

My lower back always have pain but the treatment and herb recommendations I get from LES have always worked and I've had no issues since. Now that we've move to Houston, I hope my pain never comes back, but if it does, I'm going to have to stop by LES every time I go back to NYC!

I’ve visited Ansgar 4timed and he helped me tremendously with my pinched nerve in my neck. I have been suffering from neck and shoulders pain for two years and have not found relief with other therapies. He uses electro acupuncture and strong massage which is very therapeutic. Highly recommended!
