Outside of work I enjoy playing music, writing, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Getting to know Dr. Anthony Bui

I am a 2nd generation Vietnamese American, born and raised in Orange County. I completed my psychiatry residency at University of California, Irvine and my Child and Adolescent Fellowship at University of California, San Diego. I have always gravitated towards counseling, the arts, and science. Psychiatry is the convergence of all three and allows me to provide care while engaging with my passions. Outside of work I enjoy playing music, writing, cooking, and spending time with my family.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I chose a career in Psychiatry because I believe that early interventions can decrease suffering. There is a great need right now for mental health guidance that is insightful and conscientious, and I want to be on the frontlines of providing that kind of care. I love seeing my patients develop insight and make incremental improvements over time. By extending compassion and providing education about diagnoses and treatment, I am able to establish trust, which leads to a rewarding therapeutic relationship with better outcomes.
