Dr. Anthony Siudela is a rheumatologist at Mount Sinai Doctors Medical Group, serving patients at the NoHo location. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, with clinical expertise in rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s disease, psoriatic arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis and other spondyloarthritides, crystalline arthritis such as gout and calcium pyrophosphate deposition, vasculitis, and other autoinflammatory syndromes. He also provides care for patients with connective tissue diseases such as systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) and inflammatory myopathies.
Dr. Siudela graduated with High Distinction from Pennsylvania State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, followed by a rheumatology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to his fellowship, he worked briefly as a hospitalist, gaining valuable experience in inpatient medicine.
His diagnostic approach integrates the interpretation of complex laboratory studies with musculoskeletal imaging to arrive at accurate, nuanced diagnoses. He places a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration with other medical specialties to ensure patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care that prioritizes both disease control and quality of life.

I saw Dr. Siudela after persistent joint symptoms and positive autoimmune markers. What stood out most is how thorough and methodical he is. He didn’t rush to label anything prematurely or push aggressive treatment right away. Instead, he took the time to really listen, asked detailed questions, explained his thinking clearly, and walked me through the possible diagnoses without causing unnecessary alarm.
He recommended a short diagnostic trial of medication to help narrow things down, and I appreciated how collaborative his approach was. I never felt talked at or dismissed. He was open to questions, welcomed clarification, and made sure I understood the plan before moving forward.
The visit never felt rushed, and I left feeling both reassured and taken seriously. It’s rare to find a specialist who can be both highly knowledgeable and caring, but Dr. Siudela manages both effortlessly.
Highly recommend him to anyone navigating rheumatologic symptoms or complex autoimmune concerns.

Possibly the best experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. As a chronically ill person, it can be so difficult when a doctor doesn’t listen to you about what’s going on with your body. He went above and beyond! Asked follow-up questions about what I was experiencing but never made me feel bad for advocating for my needs. I felt taken care of and seen from the moment he walked in. Every test was intentional, and he didn’t make me feel crazy for asking for a particular test based on my family history like other doctors have in the past. Test results were analyzed quickly and he responds to his messages in a reasonable timeframe. I cannot recommend him enough!
