“I was honestly surprised by my visit after other Bay Area experiences with doctor visitations. Not only did she listen to all my concerns but she was also polite and thorough while still being straight to the point. There was also no wait time and the place was VERY cleanly. All staff was polite despite me showing up during a shift change as things were being switched over. They also provided their own masks during Covid which I respect, as some people may wear masks that aren't up to code. ”

She attended medical school at Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India and completed her family medicine residency at San Joaquin Hospital in French Camp, California. Dr. Velpuri joined Bay Valley Medical Group in 2007. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is multilingual in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Urudu, as well as conversant in medical Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, Indian cooking and leading training programs on cultural competence in medicine.
