What should a new client know about working with you?

In addition to evaluation, I provide psychotherapy for children from age 10 up to young adults as well as parents/caregivers. Seeing a child regain their confidence, develop coping strategies, and thrive in various aspects of their lives is truly remarkable. I am dedicated to empowering children with the necessary skills to overcome obstacles, manage emotions, and foster resilience. I understand that raising a child with special needs can present unique challenges, and that's why I am passionate about offering therapy services to parents and siblings as well. I believe that the well-being of the entire family is crucial in supporting a child's growth and development. In our therapy sessions, I provide a safe and empathetic space where parents can openly express their concerns, fears, and frustrations. Together, we explore effective strategies and coping mechanisms tailored specifically to the parents' needs, helping them navigate the emotional, psychological, and practical aspects of parenting a child with disabilities. By addressing the parents' mental health and well-being, we can create a stronger foundation for the entire family, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where both parents and children can thrive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The typical process involves an intake call with a medical office assistant to gather information about you and/or child, assist with scheduling and informing you of what to expect, and completing paperwork via our patient portal.
