Arik Cohen, L.Ac. is a National Board-Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine by the NCBAHM (formerly NCCAOM). He is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and New Jersey, who earned his Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science (formerly Pacific College of Oriental Medicine), in 2011. He completed undergraduate studies at Montclair State University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Performance. Arik's experience with acupuncture began after suffering from his own health crisis while in his early 20s. After seeing numerous Western specialists that could not provide helpful solutions, he turned to Eastern medicine at the recommendation of a friend. Once he began acupuncture treatments, Arik started noticing small changes in his health. It took just over 2 months before Arik had a major breakthrough. He woke up one day and felt strange. Arik realized that "strange" sensation was him feeling pain and symptom free! After suffering for years, he had forgotten what it felt like to feel good! Amazed and revitalized by the effectiveness of Eastern medicine, Arik was inspired to begin his acupuncture studies in 2008, with the goal of paying it forward to others who had felt hopeless like he once had. Arik has vast clinical experience in treating a variety of conditions, including sports and orthopedic injuries, headaches and migraines, insomnia, chronic fatigue, post-surgical rehabilitation, digestive disorders, scoliosis and other back pain, arthritis, sinus pain, scar healing, neuropathy, Bell's Palsy, pediatric toe-walking and pediatric torticollis. He takes a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on helping individuals regain their ability to participate in meaningful daily activities, reach personal goals, and enhance overall quality of life.
