Getting to know Dr. Armeen Rouyanian

I'm Dr. Armeen Rouyanian, and I provide telemedicine psychiatric care to adults across California. If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, panic, PTSD, severe mental illness, or sleep problems, my practice may be a good fit. What to expect with me: • An unhurried first visit (60 minutes) where we actually talk through what's been going on — not a 15-minute checklist. • Clear explanations of any medication I recommend: what it does, why I'm choosing it, what side effects to watch for, and when we'll know it's working. • Easy access to follow-up appointments and refills through a secure patient portal. • In-house psychotherapy when it would help, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic, and trauma-focused approaches. I trained in chemistry before medicine, and I bring that careful, mechanism-focused thinking to every prescription. I want you to understand your treatment, not just take it. A few practical notes: I DO NOT accept insurance and only accept fee-for-service payment. I require payment at the time of the visit. Payment is due at the time of service. Fees are $500 for the initial 60-minute psychiatric evaluation and $250 for a 30-minute follow-up visit. At this time I am not prescribing controlled substances (e.g., ADHD stimulants, benzodiazepines). I provide evaluation, therapy, and non-controlled medications. New patients: a $75 deposit (credited toward your first visit) is required to confirm your appointment — you'll receive a payment link by text and email after booking. Currently accepting new patients ages 18-60.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

This is a self-pay (out-of-network) practice. I do not accept or bill insurance. Payment is due at the time of service. Fees are $500 for the initial 60-minute psychiatric evaluation and $250 for a 30-minute follow-up visit. To confirm a new-patient appointment, a $75 deposit is required and is credited toward your first visit. Upon request, I can provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company to seek out-of-network reimbursement. Whether any amount is reimbursed is determined solely by your insurer, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. Before your visit, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs, as provided under federal law.
