Dr. Patel is very accessible, which is important to me. He covers the full ground, explains well, and makes great recommendations for specialists, when needed. Recommended!

I felt a little rushed and that Dr. Patel had a prescription plan ready before he walked in the door to see me. The front staff warmed to me eventually but at first were very cold and didn’t acknowledge me for about 5 mins after I walked in because they were chatting with a patient about non-work-related things. Everything felt a little like a time warp too — paper files, very old computers, telephone books, and paper prescriptions. Dr. Patel was very nice and if it wasn’t for the other staff, I might return.

Dr. Patel and medical student, Natalie, were pleasant and thorough. The ladies up front were professional and helpful with a wonderful sense of humor. They made me laugh more than once. Additionally, pluses - opens at 7:30 am and plenty of street parking. Thanks for taking good care of me.

Horrible practice! Staff is rude and poorly trained, waiting times are ridiculously long, organization is poor, and waiting rooms are depressing. I visited the office while 6 months pregnant to do a blood exam. I had to wait almost two hours to get my blood drawn. I hadn't eaten anything in anticipation of the blood exam and I almost fainted waiting to get my blood drawn. I thought I should give the practice another chance so I had a post-natal appointment to get my blood drawn again. I had to wait one hour to get my blood drawn while my 6-week old baby was waiting at home to be nursed. After an hour the nurse came in and she was unable to get a blood sample. This is the first time this has happened to me as I have very pronounced veins. I also have needle phobia so I almost fainted while the nurse was trying to get a blood sample. In addition, I needed to call the office multiple times to have my exam results back and my prescriptions refilled. I have been given prescriptions for brand-name drugs while I have explicitly asked for the generic version of the drug and as a result I had to pay three times the price of the drug. Lastly, the office keeps paper instead of electronic records which makes any request for information ridiculously time consuming. I would encourage anyone to stay away from this practice unless they have money and time to waste.

Dr. Patel is a great doctor and a good guy. He cares about the person, not the patient. He listens and is very thoughtful in his evaluations. I really appreciate his level of detail when he consults with me.

He was thorough in discussing some particular symptoms and even suggested preliminary, low impact treatments before I consulted with specialists. He seems very knowledgeable and quick - it only took 15 min, and a my needs were met.

Dr. Patel seemed very competent and friendly when I interacted with him, but I spent the majority of my time in his office waiting on him. While I waited in an exam room, he was sitting across the hall in his office with another doctor who seemed to be in residency. Despite being made aware that I was waiting in the exam room, the two spent more than 30 minutes conversing about medical education before I was seen. I thought it was unprofessional to keep a patient waiting at length to carry on a social conversation.

Dr. Patel was great - very knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions and explain the answers clearly. There was a slight wait, but as others mentioned it's probably more due to the fact that he spends time with each patient, rather than some inefficiency. Also got bloodwork done in the basement with the nurse, after she warmed up she was great. Definitely keeping him as my doctor

Do not waste your time visiting this office. I visited last month to have blood work done for a myriad of reasons. Despite the hour wait and receiving a bill for the lab work, Dr. Patel never even bothered to call me with the results. I left two messages with his staff asking for him to follow up, but to no avail. Yes, Dr. Patel was friendly enough, but the same cannot be said for his front office staff, nor is the office itself up to cleanliness standards that I'd expect of a medical facility. I'm extremely frustrated I wasted my time and money here.

My first visit, he was welcoming and thorough. I had specific pre-op work that needed to be done. Office took care of what they could and then staff arranged for same-day EKG at another facility.

Incredible memory. He remembered why I came in last time and how I was feeling (or took great notes). Great bedside manner and efficient in his work. Extremely long wait and disorganized front staff though. Otherwise would ask him to be my PCP.

Don’t do it. Super long wait, awkward bedside manner as if he didn’t want to be there and was uncomfortable, not much space so he sat on the patient table and seemed to relaxed/not very professional. He didn’t appear to be very knowledgeable either. And he referred me for everything...like, why can’t you perform a simple Vision test? The office was just scattered as well. Files all over the place not well-kempt. The Lab was downstairs in a dirty, unfinished basement. The lab technician was playing loud music and did not show any Customer Service or bedside manner at all. While I was waiting for blood work, I was just wondering when I’d be able to leave, honestly. Not a good experience with anyone at the office. And I understand that maybe they didn’t like their job or surroundings because I certainly didn’t. I honestly never write reviews, but this was just atrocious on every level that I felt the need to share my experience and advise against scheduling an appointment here. I booked this one because it was the soonest available doctor slot for a male doctor, but it kind of makes sense why there were so many time slots available. For those that have had good experiences, I’m happy for you, but I did not. Good luck!

Receptionist friendly and competent. The doctor was professional and efficient. I just needed his attestation that I was fit to drive a motor vehicle (I am over 70 in the District of Columbia). He asked me all the right questions, took my blood pressure and measured my heart beat. My experience with Dr. Patel was very positive.

Dr. Patel's visit was wonderful. The only complaint I had was with the technician who took my blood. She was a bit impatient and was very preoccupied. Not the best experience. But overall, I would still recommend Dr. Patel's office and their services to everyone. (Love Ms. Ellen!)

As a new patient I was surprised to see a "closed" sign in the window so I stood outside for 10 minutes until a lab guy showed up and called to have the door unlocked (turns out it wasn't locked but the receptionist doesn't want people wandering in). I had to complete paperwork so he saw someone else whose appointment was after mine, and I then waited for quite a while. Dr Patel was very quick with me so I don't know why he was so late. I did get a diagnosis and a prescription so I am glad I went but I don't think I will be going back.
