Dr Patel was quick and efficient but did seemed it was almost rushed especially after waiting over an hour. The blood and lab work was also a slow process.

I've seen Dr. Patel several times. Most recently, I went in to get blood drawn. Dr. Patel was fine, as usual. He is soft spoken and can seem rushed but overall is satisfactory in office. The downstairs clinic where they drewblood was disorderly to the point of seeming unhygienic. The lab tech was nice enough. Now, it has been 3 weeks since my appointment and I have yet to hear anything from Dr. Patel's office. I've called multiple times with no answer and no response (always during office hours). Finally looked up my results myself on LabCorps. The lack of communication and response is completely unacceptable and dangerous to patients, quite frankly.

Doctor was fine but this office was old and filthy. I was supposed to get an STD test but decided not to get blood drawn because I was so disgusted by the state of the medical office.

This office is oddly outdated - all paper files, old computers, and in dark basement office. Care was satisfactory - once I was seen (about 30 minutes after my appointment time). Additionally, the lab spilled my sample and I had toreturn to give a new one. Could have been a one-time mistake, but inconvenient nonetheless.

It was over 2 hours from my scheduled appointment to when I finally received my prescription. The doctor prescribed 2 medications that were unavailable before prescribing a third medication and changing his mind to a fourth. I’m still unsure I have received the right treatment and will not be returning.

Dr Patel has been my primary care doctor for almost 15 years now. I appreciate his professionalism, knowledge, bedside manner and timely appointments. While from time to time, I have had to wait to see him, there are few doctors thatyou can get in with day of and then take as much time with you as Dr. Patel is willing to do. He is the best!

The front desk staff was the most unprofessional I have ever experienced. It made me extremely uncomfortable and I actually considered leaving due to how outrageous it was. While I was waiting in the exam room (which was tiny and ratherdepressing), Dr. Patel came in and turned the light off because he didn't see me sitting in there! Then his medical student came and took my history and did a physical exam, which was fine with me, but no one asked if I was alright with that. As a health care professional myself, I know that is standard practice. Dr. Patel himself did appear knowledgable and confident in his diagnosis and treatment.

Do not go to this doctor. The office is unorganized, unresponsive, and inept. After having important bloodwork done, it took 3 weeks to get ahold of the doctor. Called the office a dozen times, left messages, was put on hold continually-- only having to hang up and call back. I never write reviews. But find another doctor, even if you have to wait a few days to make the appointment

Hard to get in contact with the doctor... he doesn't provide his email and they don't respond to messages at the Dr. office very often. Want to talk to the doctor, you have to schedule an appointment, which is bad. But once there, he's fine.

I read a lot of negative reviews on here before going in & they are very much uncalled for. I'm happy to say that my service and care was amazing! Yes the computers and filing were a little out of datebut so what, they were in perfect working condition. I am a DC native new patient and a was seen right away after completing my forms and insurance. Dr.Patel was very nice, soft spoken and knowledgable even providing me with a referral I desperately need for a GI primary care in the area that takes my insurance! His phlebotomist was also so kind and loving toward me while drawing blood and the Doc even told me I could walk in the following week so he could sign some forms I had forgotten at home. I think if you are looking for cunning edge technology and to be treated as if you are the only patient that exist this isn't the office for you, but if you looking for a kind and knowledgable doctor with and warm staff this is the place for you!

The graduate student, Sasha, was magnificent! Extremely professional, informative, and approachable. If she was the doctor, I would definitely go back. The actual doctor was a bit shy and hard to understand at times - very low voice - but providedsatisfactory information. The overall clinic needs a makeover - everything looks from the 90s, in an old not appealing way. The nurse lacked customer service. She was very cold and didn’t even look at my face. I’m not sure I will be back.

I went to see Dr. Patel on a Thursday for a very bad sore throat. He did a few tests and told me I should have results by Monday. In the meantime, I was prescribed antibiotics. It has been 8 dayssince my appointment, my throat has only improved mildly, and I have not been able to reach Dr. Patel for my test results. I have called the office every day this week and left several messages with the receptionist who unhelpfully told me "all she can do is give my message to the doctor." The office was also incredibly low tech with small exam rooms. There was no rapid test for strep throat, which I have never experienced. And I had to bring physical carbon copies of the tests ordered to the nurse with my throat culture swab. All of which I would have happily overlooked if I felt like I received adequate care. I move often, so I have seen many different doctors, and this was easily one of my worst experiences.

Initial appointment was fine, if not a bit rushed. Dr. Patel was very nice. Was trying to find a new primary care in the city to get prescription refills. Wrote out a physical prescription for a couple medications. I called back5 times during business hours and only reached the office once. I wanted my prescription to be electronically submitted to a mail order service. They said they could, although it might be delayed. Talked to the mail order service a few days later and it was never submitted. Called to try to remedy the situation (at this point I'm almost out of medication), the lady on the phone was agitated and said the fax was down. Offered a number for direct submission of the prescipt. and she said she wouldn't call to submit it. Sounds like an admin problem. Very old tech in the office, only one person to answer calls and check in patients. Shouldn't make the patients suffer for it though, it's unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and try somewhere else.

Dr. Patel is very nice and competent. He is ready to explain things and is nice about it. He is soft spoken, so don't feel bad about asking him to repeat something. The office space and supporting staff leave something tobe desired. The facility is old and not well taken care of, which doesn't inspire confidence. The staff members don't communicate well, so be sure to ask a lot of questions.

Dr. Patel's office is out of date and does not present well. His office does not use an electronic health record, currently running on a DOS system, and is entirely paper based. Front office staff is harsh and rude and whenI met with Dr. Patel he rushed me out with little explanation of what was going on and often failed to speak loud enough for me to understand what he was saying.

Dr. Patel seemed competent and addressed all of my concerns & questions in professional and easily understandable manner. I would recommend him. I waited for 1 hour to see him, office staff didn’t show up to open clinic until slightly aftermy 7:30 appointment, i got there early to fill out forms, & ended up waiting outside, luckily not raining. Receptionist was combative with customers at times with customers who didn’t fully know their insurance benefits, forms were old, photocopied several times, so blurry, honestly, how hard is it to print out a new form,) and general ambiance of facility was from 1984 with stains on carpet and 1984 computer systems to boot. Labcorp technician is in old basement with old files & dingy. Very unimpressed with facility, dr seems good. Unsure if i will go back.

Great experience overall. Front desk was nice, helpful, and got me in pretty quickly. The time with the doctor was quick(5 min), but I felt he really wanted to listen to what I had to say and he spent all thetime he needed to get an accurate diagnosis. I will definitely return. I feel like many of the people writing negative reviews on here must be very entitled or have unrealistic expectations. I was a little nervous about the mixed reviews but so glad I made the appointment.

Waited over half hour, and the was rushed through my visit. You don’t tell someone they are probably fine when they come in for a serious medical concern, then run test and say they will be ready in a few dayswhen a week later still nothing. Keep calling asking for results and never get a call back. I guess I’ll have to go somewhere else to actually get good service.

I genuinely don't understand the high ratings for this doctor, and I urge Zocodoc to look into the validity. Upon entrance to the office, you'll know immediately something is off. It's dirty, musty, and there's paperwork everywhere -- I trulybegan questioning if these papers strewn about were some kind of HIPPA violation. The treatment room itself was cold, dark, and didn't feel clean as well. Once I was seated in a chair near the doctor's desk, I felt incredibly uncomfortable as there was literally dirt and crumbs in the carpet around me, papers once again strewn everywhere, and empty drink and food littering the doctor's desk! I won't even begin with the environment and bedside manner of the lab where I was supposed to get blood work done -- I actively got up and left the office without getting my blood work done because I was terrified at that point. I've been waiting on test results for a one week since my appointment now, after being promised a two-day turnaround. I've left three messages with the office at this point. I'm still not feeling better and am incapable of returning to work without knowing whether or not I'm contagious. This is just inexcusable. While the doctor himself and the medical school patient I met with were nice and capable enough, the surroundings and professionalism of this office are just horrific.
