“I am currently writing this well after my original appointment but it is because the ball got rolling immediately on my lingering issues! Dr Artis is so highly skilled she took one touch of my belly - felt those fibroids and had me on the fast track for my myomectomy surgery! Surgery went well and I cannot wait to be all healed to finally experience a much more normal menstrual cycle! 10 out of 10 highly recommended!”

About Dr. Ashley Artis

Having a strong desire to ensure that all my patients are fully informed, I use my expertise, training, and education to be an advocate for women, helping them navigate and understand gynecologic issues. I feel strongly that patients will make good decisions when they become active participants in their health care.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Oakwood University and my Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College. I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Downtown Hospital and the University of Illinois, Peoria.
As an OB/GYN physician, I look forward to serving my community and getting to know my patients and their families.
Originally a native of the Midwest, my interest in OB/GYN has taken me to New York and Africa. After spending time in Tanzania operating and delivering babies, I gained new insight into obstetrics and gynecology and desire to intertwine my experiences into the fabric of my work.
I look forward to pursuing my interest in minimally invasive surgery.
My other passions include traveling, singing, skiing, and spending time with my family and friends.
