Getting to know Ashley Cunningham
I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner working with Mindful Healing Group PLLC. We are accepting new North Carolina, Texas, and New York patients. We are now accepting patients for Weight Loss treatments, ADHD, Gender Affirmation treatments, Anxiety, Depression, and many more. We treat a wide range of mental health disorders.
I work with clients with a wide range of mental health disorders. We will delve deeply into the issues during our initial session and collaborate to create a treatment plan. Whether the plan includes medication, therapy, or both, we will decide to improve your symptoms together as partners.
We can help you reach your goals of improving your mental health by offering you personalized care, including medication management and therapy. We practice holism, which helps improve your physical, mental, and social well-being.
As a psychiatric provider, a collaborative and empathetic communication style is essential. The tone created in sessions is warm, supportive, and non-judgmental, fostering an environment where patients feel safe to express their thoughts and feelings.
During my time in the military, I saw many fellow soldiers grappling with mental health challenges, often feeling isolated and unsupported. I was struck by how critical mental health support was in our community. After leaving the service, I felt a strong calling to help those who experienced similar struggles. I wanted to be a source of support and understanding for individuals facing mental health issues, just as I wished my peers had during tough times. This drive to advocate for mental wellness and promote healing in others motivates me daily as a mental health professional.
In the first session with patients, we will be completing a psychiatric evaluation, which is designed to create a clear understanding of a person's mental health needs and to guide effective treatment.

I don’t know if it was a miscommunication booking with Zocdoc or Rula but my first appointment was missed by the doctor, I called their office and got no response or message back. I then scheduled another appointment and it got canceled with no explanation. I will be finding a different doctor.
