Ashley Hoeck Anderson is a general adult psychiatrist who has been practicing since 2019. She completed degrees in Biology, Psychology, and Criminal Justice at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN prior to moving to Oregon to attend medical school at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW in Lebanon, OR. Her residency in General Psychiatry was completed at Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis, OR.
Dr. Hoeck Anderson believes that therapy and medication management are both valuable treatment options and strives to empower patients with humanistic care that is compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based. Her goal in working with a patient is to listen to and collaborate with them in determining what difficulties they are experiencing, and then to create a treatment plan that considers their unique combination of biological, psychological, cultural, and social factors. Although she works with and treats patients suffering all manner of mental health conditions, she has a special interest in mood disorders, PTSD/trauma, and women’s mental health.
In her spare time, Dr. Hoeck Anderson enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading both fiction and psychiatry-related literature, and playing tabletop role-playing games and board games, among other hobbies.

LifeStance has been a lifesaver. Even prior to the pandemic they had virtual appointments as an option so they have the online system down. The providers I’ve had have been wonderful. I love that you have access to bios of the providers to help you choose. I’ve recommended several friends and they’ve also had good experiences. Their communications system is wonderful. I can reach out to my provider anytime if something comes up between appointments. I highly recommend it as a mental health platform.
Ashley Hoeck Anderson is a brilliant clinician. There are many times I’m struggling to describe a feeling or situation and she reads my mind and expresses it better than I ever could. She’s helped me so much with issues from ADD to anxiety to depression. She’s sympathetic and empathetic while also being good at giving “homework” and helping you to move forward in life. Ashley is wonderful and I always feel better after our appointments.
