Getting to know Audrey Rolandelli

My name is Audrey Rolandelli and I am an Independent, board-certified, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Illinois. I treat patients statewide across the lifespan. I provide medication management services along with supportive therapy. My approach I find that the greatest success in mental health treatment comes with deeply understanding a person and viewing their current presenting symptoms as pieces of a puzzle. I find therapeutic alliance and self-advocacy as pivotal parts of treatment success and my role is thorough assessment and education to allow patients to make informed choices about their course of treatment and care. This can only be achieved by working together with the goal of improved health & wellness. In practice, I find that multiple theoretical approaches are required based on life circumstances, presenting symptoms, and biological factors. A few of the theoretical approaches I use regularly include Biological, Behaviorist, Cognitive, and Humanistic. My focus I have experience across the lifespan, beginning in childhood through geriatric populations. I have spent time working in inpatient hospital settings and outpatient practice. While I have enjoyed my time working inpatient, I find relationship building and treatment on an outpatient basis to be my passion. Conditions I often treat include Depression, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD behaviors associated with Neurodivergence, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Substance misuse, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, and grief. While I provide medication services, I find the most success when working with individuals open to behavioral and life changes and regular therapy. This is the gold standard of treatment and the best way to achieve symptom remission and improved quality of life. My communication style Everyone's mental health journey is different, so I strive to meet individuals where they are at in a casual, comfortable, and nonjudgemental environment.
