About Dr. Babak Gachpaz
Dr. Gachpaz was born in Iran and moved to Germany with his family as a teenager. He attended medical school at Heinrich Heine University in Germany and then at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean Netherlands. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. After graduation, he worked as a Hospitalist at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, where he developed interests in clinical teaching and hospital medicine. At the same time, he conducted research in gastrointestinal tract cancer prevention and the gut's microbiome at the Kansas City VA. In 2019, he moved to Long Beach, CA, to start a 24/7 hospitalist program. In addition to his hospitalist and directorship duties, he has served as an attending physician for Harbor UCLA residents.
Our practice is brand new, and we are in the process of getting credentialed with major insurances. Unfortunately, at this time, we are only able to accept cash patients, and the $250 office visit fee will be due before the visit. The office visit fee is not negotiable or refundable.
Dr. Gachpaz is licensed only in California and can see patients who reside in the state of California. There will be a $45 cancellation fee for any canceled appointments.
