About Dr. Barbara Steele

Dr. Barbara Steele is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. She specializes in treating sports injuries, knee pain and shoulder pain. She completed the prestigious Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania where she worked with the team doctors for the professional basketball team the Philadelphia 76ers as well as treating collegiate athletes at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of the Sciences. Dr. Steele specializes in treating injuries and pain to the knees and shoulders occurring from sports injuries, car accidents, work injuries, slip and falls, overuse and pain that develops over time. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of meniscus tears, ACL tears, cartilage damage, chondromalacia, labral tears, rotator cuff tears, and many other causes of musculoskeletal pain. Dr. Steele performs non-surgical and surgical treatments consisting of physical therapy, home exercises, bracing, steroid injections, viscosupplementation (gel) injections, PRP injections, arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction, and tendon repair surgery. She has over 10 years of experience and expertise in minimally invasive knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgery. Her expertise and personalized approach have earned her a reputation for providing exceptional care to her patients.
