About Dr. Baris Vefali
Dr. Baris Vefali is a board certified Internal Medicine and the founder of Austin Medical Clinic. Dr. Vefali has a wide range of expertise in care of patients with complex medial histories as well as acute illnesses.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Moravian College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Vefali obtained his medical degree from St. George’s University, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College’s St. Michael’s Medical Center in New Jersey, serving as primary care clinic chief and initiating a patient-centered continuity clinic model. Committed to both teaching and patient education, Dr. Vefali believes that understanding one’s condition is key to effective management. Recently, he relocated to Texas and is launching a new primary care clinic in Bastrop, where he aims to deliver exceptional care with compassion.

Dr.Vefali is super sweet and welcoming, he’s a good listener and explains everything in detail and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be returning with him and his team. He was able to RX and recommend things that I needed which was very helpful, I left with a plan that will help my health and an ease of mind.

Dr. Vefali was very easy to talk to. He asked questions about my symptoms, and listened carefully. This was my first appointment with a doctor after moving to this area, and I felt that Dr. Vefali was totally focused on my medical history and needs. He ordered bloodwork before adjusting some of my medications, and scheduled a follow up visit to finalize my treatment plan. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and thorough he was. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone.

Dr. Vifali showed that he really cared. He listened to everything I was saying and would ask me questions about it. He is very down to earth and made me feel comfortable. He would even throw out a joking remark every once in a while. It has been quite a while that I had a Dr. that I felt comfortable with and legitimately cared. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a primary care physician. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I had to wait a little bit to be seen when I visited in person but overall felt Dr. Vefali was thorough in his questioning and I liked very much that I was able to call the clinic a week after my appointment and speak with Dr. Vefali on the phone to discuss some lingering issues.
