He has spent over twenty years working in emergency rooms, hospitalist medicine and outpatient internal medicine settings, with the last seventeen years working in private practice with a specialized interest in diabetes and hypertension. Dr. Gayle joined Sage Health to share his continued passion to provide healthcare to seniors in the community and by educating the importance of lifestyle choices and prevention of disease so that each patient can live their lives to the fullest. He believes developing trust and listening are extremely important components in providing quality healthcare to his patients. Dr. Gayle grew up in Whistler, Alabama, and graduated from CF Vigor High School. He continued his education attending Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, followed by a residency program at Louisiana University Medical Center in New Orleans. He always planned to return to his hometown after completing his medical training so that he could continue to provide healthcare to those in his community. Dr. Gayle is married to his lovely wife of twenty years and has two wonderful adult children. He enjoys playing chess, bowling, and shooting pool in his free time.
