About Dr. Benjamin Oberman
I am a surgeon who specializes in treating both children and adults of all ages for conditions affecting the ears, nose and sinuses, and neck and throat. I am a general Otolaryngologist who treats a wide variety of medical and surgical diseases. This includes everything from ear infections to sinus infections and some head and neck cancers. I do my best to be accessible to my patients, call them personally with results and updates, and have same-day clinic availability. My goal is to have a team approach with high quality and individualized care while staying at the forefront of current research and treatment plans. Patients may work with our audiologists or speech-language pathologists to help treat their conditions as well. When I’m not at work, I’m usually out with my Great Dane or trying a new food scene in Durham and Chapel Hill.

He didn’t seem vested in exploring my issue with my ear. His exam was topical and he seemed ready to just write me off. I was disappointed. When you’re having an issue, you want someone who shows concern. I did not get that feeling from him.

Very quick and focused hearing evaluation. I was very pleased with the work of the audiologist before hand and Dr. Oberman explained the results to me plus listed the options to address the ringing in my right ear. He conducted his own physical examination in addition to the audiologist's evaluation so I feel that I had a complete and thorough exam.

Very professional and courteous, explained everything in understandable detail and expressed great care on what he was doing. The clinic I visited to see him was a nice little one on Fayetteville Road, it was extremely easy to find. I would highly recommend Doctor Onberman as your ENT doctor.
