Bettina Ervin Rodgers, NP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
CA
Hi there, my name is Bettina Rodgers and I'm looking forward to connecting with you. I'm a licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in California, with a Master's in Nursing from Walden University. My expertise is in working with patients ages 18 and up who need help using medication to manage their mental health. My main focus with patients is on the lifespan-mental health is a lifelong journey, not a sprint. The treatment plan we develop will aim to create a sustained positive impact on your overall health. My approach to psychiatric care is collaborative. Together, we'll identify your goals and use them to explore treatment options, ensuring you are fully invested in the journey. While I can't always promise it will be comfortable, we will make a plan and put in the work necessary to get you to where you want to be. I typically work with individuals ages 18+ and have experience with a wide range of issues including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, impulsivity, gender identity, and anger management. Communication is key in our work together. We'll discuss lifestyle and other factors that can be monitored or changed to keep you on the right path. I believe in a holistic approach-while mental health medication is an invaluable tool, it is not the only answer. During our first session, we'll conduct a thorough mental and physical assessment. It's important to fully understand where you are and where you've come from before diving into treatment. The 60-minute evaluation will include a discussion of all medications, mental health or otherwise, that you have taken or are currently taking. I approach each session with an open mind and am excited to get the opportunity to know you!
