About Dr. Boris Petrikovsky

Dr. Boris M. Petrikovsky is a board certified OBGYN (Obstetrician & Gynecologist)and MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) in New York, NY. He is currently a active consultant in these fields, specializing in high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Petrikovsky graduated from Moscow State University of Medicine & Dentistry in 1978. Dr. Petrikovsky completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maimonides Medical Center. After residency, he went on to complete a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Petrikovsky has an extensive teaching history. He previously had been Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, a Professor at the NYU School of Medicine and Post-Graduate Medical School, as well as the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Petrikovsky has been a traveling research Fellow in Fetal Medicine as well as the winner of several prestigious awards such as The New York Perinatal Society Research Award.
In addition to his busy MFM practice with Ocean Perinatology, he also with Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Petrikovsky is beloved by both his patients and their families for his kindness and dedicated care.
Dr. Petrikovsky has been a member of the Editorial Advisory Boards of the Journal of Neonatal Intensive Care, Journal of Pediatrics (Russian Edition), as well as Ultrasound Diagnosis in Obstetrics, Gynecology & Pediatrics. He has also been a Reviewer for The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Journal of Maternal Fetal Medicine, and the Journal of Perinatology.

I had an appointment at 7:30 PM with Dr. Boris (a male doctor). Around 6:00 PM, the administrator called asking if I could come earlier because “the doctor won’t see you after 7.” I said I’d try and confirm by 6:30. When I texted at 6:30 that I was on my way (ETA 6:55), she said “Yes, come.” I arrived exactly at 6:55.
The moment I got there, the administrator gave me an attitude because I didn’t have my physical insurance card. I provided my insurance number and got a photo of the card within minutes, but she kept saying “SHE can’t see you, SHE has to go.” My doctor was male — so clearly, no doctor was even there.
Then she “rescheduled” me for 8:15 a.m. the SAME DAY, a time that had already passed — completely absurd. I left work early, spent less than seven minutes in the office, and was treated with zero professionalism or respect. Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I booked the appointment with a Doctor. The appointment was with a PA and a student. Not sure why you book appointments with Doctors when it is always a PA. False advertising.

I was really looking for a OB-GYN, that would be more personable. That was the reason why I choose a doctor in this area. However, the appointment was too quick. They overbooked. There were to many patients to be seen. I left at 6:30, there were still 5 people in the waiting room. IF I WANTED URGENT CARE SERVICE I WOULD HAVE WENT TO AN URGENT CARE DOCTOR OR MY PRIMARY DOCTOR. The physician assistant was just trying to get the job done. If you want urgent care go here, if you want quality go somewhere else.
