About Dr. Boris Sheynin
I have been in practice for more than 20 years. We are a physician-owned practice, and I am a co-owner. Paying close attention to our patients, being available, and listening to their needs is our hallmark and has allowed us to stay in business. Our efforts have been rewarded by recognition from patients and physicians alike. I have been named a Top Doctor in the Chicago area by Chicago magazine yearly since 2014.
My clinical interest is Primary Care Internal Medicine, caring for adults with chronic and acute medical issues. What sets us apart is fast service when acute issues arise. Our front staff is friendly and helpful. We offer contemporary scheduling methods, including online appointment requests, wait lists, and televisits if in-person visits are not feasible.
We also offer Priority Subscription Services for additional care, a Direct Pay Program, Civil Surgeon Services, and Televisit subscriptions. You can learn about these during your appointment. Even without subscriptions, we guarantee superior medical care.
I am particularly interested in caring for elderly patients and those with mild cognitive impairment. As new treatments arise and the population ages, this is a major area of need. We also have programs for diabetics, including Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), and Obesity Management.
Over the years, I've managed hypertension, thyroid problems, and depression, and developed diagnostic efficiencies in persistent cough, chest pain, neuropathy, and other presentations. Being in business for over 20 years, I am well known by many specialty physicians, facilitating efficient and expedited referrals.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University. I have been on staff at surrounding hospitals, including Endeavor Health, Advocate, and Amita.

Good doctor but wait was about 50 plus minutes!

Felt like a cog in a machine and was rushed out with little explanation. The doc just wrote referrals and didn’t ask me any questions for a physical.
I feel ripped off with the physical.
Didn’t ask about my back which I filled in the questionnaire.
Didn’t ask about my joints when I told him I had bad sports injuries.
Just not attentive and uncaring.

Very pleased with Dr Sheynin and his staff. Everyone was through, attentive, and unrushed with me during the whole visit. I appreciate the attention to detail. Being a new "transplant" from the South, I was aware of the missing niceties of "Hello, how are you today? Welcome to our practice, etc, etc". I was equally if not more aware of the personal touch of Dr Shaynin asking me to send a picture of my first great grandchild expected any day now and the lab tech kindness in assuring I knew the process of the last steps of my visit. Those things trump a "Hello, blah, blah, blah" any day in my book. After 2 years and 3 doctors, I've found the perfect fit for my medical needs.
