I'm a Christian, faithful wife, loving mom, and honest, level-headed mentor who believes in making mental health care accessible to everyone, especially underserved communities. My focus I work with patients experiencing acute and chronic mental illnesses. My approach I put patient care above all else and use biological and integrative approaches to treat mental health conditions. My goal is to make psychiatric services accessible to all, including underserved areas with limited access to care. My communication style I adapt my style to each situation, using active listening, open-ended questions, and reflection to build trust. I'm mindful of nonverbal cues and cultural sensitivity. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and empowered to participate in your care decisions. My journey to mental healthcare A church encounter with a man struggling with mental health changed my path. When I offered him coffee and friendship, he shared that no one had ever asked how he was doing. His story moved me deeply. I see my work primarily as a ministry and secondarily as a job. My goals for you Together, we break goals into small, manageable steps, address barriers, and adjust expectations as needed. I track progress, encourage self-compassion, and celebrate wins. We review and adjust goals regularly to keep you moving forward. Our first session Our first session focuses on getting to know each other, building trust, and creating space for you to share your story. I'll listen with empathy and help you feel comfortable.
