Bracha Endzweig

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NJ
Anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, sleep difficulties, trauma-related symptoms, and other mental health concerns can significantly impact daily functioning, relationships, work, school, and overall wellbeing. Many people seeking psychiatric care feel frustrated by rushed evaluations or treatment decisions made before their symptoms are fully understood. I take a structured, thoughtful approach to assessment and believe accurate diagnosis is essential before recommending treatment. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adolescents and adults throughout New Jersey via telehealth. Please note that, in accordance with New Jersey prescribing regulations for telehealth, stimulant medications for ADHD are not prescribed in my practice. ADHD evaluations and non-stimulant treatment options are available when clinically appropriate. I take a collaborative approach to care and work with you to develop a treatment plan that reflects your symptoms, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on shared decision-making so that treatment feels realistic, sustainable, and aligned with your daily life. My clinical training includes experience across inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient psychiatric settings, working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders including schizophrenia spectrum conditions, trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring substance use concerns. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients gain clarity, identify effective treatment options, and improve overall mental health and daily functioning.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide psychiatric care that is structured, collaborative, and centered around your individual needs. My approach focuses on working together to understand your symptoms and identify treatment options that align with your goals and lifestyle. I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand your history, current concerns, and preferences so that treatment decisions are made jointly and feel practical and sustainable. When medication is part of treatment, I provide clear explanations of options, expected benefits, and potential side effects so you can make informed decisions. I encourage questions throughout the process and prioritize shared decision-making in all aspects of care. In addition to medication management, I incorporate supportive psychotherapy techniques when appropriate, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, to support coping skills and symptom management.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first appointment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we review your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, prior treatment experiences, and relevant personal and family background. We also discuss your goals for treatment and what you are hoping to improve. I use this information to develop a clear diagnostic understanding before making treatment recommendations. I take a careful, structured approach rather than rushing into decisions, ensuring that any treatment plan is appropriate and individualized. When medication is recommended, I explain options in detail, including expected benefits, risks, and alternatives. Treatment decisions are made collaboratively based on your preferences, lifestyle, and comfort level. Follow-up visits focus on your response to treatment, symptom changes, side effects (if any), and any needed adjustments. Care is ongoing and adjusted over time to support your progress and goals. Please note that ADHD treatment is limited to evaluation and non-stimulant options when clinically appropriate, in accordance with New Jersey telehealth prescribing regulations.
