Getting to know Bracha Endzweig

Anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, sleep difficulties, trauma-related symptoms, and other mental health concerns can significantly impact daily functioning, relationships, work, school, and overall wellbeing. Many people seeking psychiatric care feel frustrated by rushed evaluations or treatment decisions made before their symptoms are fully understood. I take a structured, thoughtful approach to assessment and believe accurate diagnosis is essential before recommending treatment. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adolescents and adults throughout New Jersey via telehealth. I take a collaborative approach to care and work with you to develop a treatment plan that reflects your symptoms, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on shared decision-making so that treatment feels realistic, sustainable, and aligned with your daily life. My clinical training includes experience across inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient psychiatric settings, working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders including schizophrenia spectrum conditions, trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring substance use concerns. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients gain clarity, identify effective treatment options, and improve overall mental health and daily functioning. Please note that, in accordance with New Jersey prescribing regulations for telehealth, stimulant medications for ADHD are not prescribed in my practice. ADHD evaluations and non-stimulant treatment options are available when clinically appropriate.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide psychiatric care that is structured, collaborative, and centered around your individual needs. My approach focuses on working together to understand your symptoms and identify treatment options that align with your goals and lifestyle. I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand your history, current concerns, and preferences so that treatment decisions are made jointly and feel practical and sustainable. When medication is part of treatment, I provide clear explanations of options, expected benefits, and potential side effects so you can make informed decisions. I encourage questions throughout the process and prioritize shared decision-making in all aspects of care. In addition to medication management, I incorporate supportive psychotherapy techniques when appropriate, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, to support coping skills and symptom management.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first appointment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we review your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, prior treatment experiences, and relevant personal and family background. We also discuss your goals for treatment and what you are hoping to improve. I use this information to develop a clear diagnostic understanding before making treatment recommendations. I take a careful, structured approach rather than rushing into decisions, ensuring that any treatment plan is appropriate and individualized. When medication is recommended, I explain options in detail, including expected benefits, risks, and alternatives. Treatment decisions are made collaboratively based on your preferences, lifestyle, and comfort level. Follow-up visits focus on your response to treatment, symptom changes, side effects (if any), and any needed adjustments. Care is ongoing and adjusted over time to support your progress and goals. Please note that ADHD treatment is limited to evaluation and non-stimulant options when clinically appropriate, in accordance with New Jersey telehealth prescribing regulations.

Highly recommend Bracha! I was really anxious about seeing a psychiatric provider. Immediately, I felt calm. She is so caring and I felt no judgement regarding my poor coping skills and negative behaviors. She is helping me get my life together!
Bracha is hands-down the best PMHNP I’ve ever seen. She actually listens, respects your input, and makes you feel safe from minute one. Her clinical knowledge is incredible, and her bedside manner is even better. Booking with her was the best decision I made for my health
Finding a good psych provider on Zocdoc can be such a hit or miss, but I am so glad I found Bracha. I’ve only just had my intake and first follow-up with her, but I’m already so confident in our new plan. Before seeing her, I was on a bunch of different meds over the years that made me gain weight and still didn't even make me feel good. Bracha actually listened to me and put together an amazing plan to fix things. We are tapering me off the old stuff and implementing changes slowly and safely so my body can adjust. I'm already feeling better with the shifts we've made so far, and I'm honestly just so excited to finally be on the right track. If you're tired of the guessing game, book with her.
After years of struggling and trying different providers , I finally feel heard. Bracha took the time to understand my concerns , explain my treatment options clearly, and made me feel comfortable from the first appointment. I am hopeful about my mental health for the first time in a long time!
I was really nervous about seeing a new psych provider but Bracha was great. She is super warm and actually knows her stuff. What I liked most is that she treats it like a partnership and asked for my input on my meds/treatment instead of just telling me what to do. I left the appointment feeling so relieved and supported. Definitely keeping her as my new psych provider from now on.
Bracha is professional, kind and caring. She takes the time to truly listen to your entire story and history. I appreciated how she discussed treatment options and answered all my questions and concerns.
