About Dr. Bradley Gerber
A national leader in joint reconstruction surgery, Bradley Gerber, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained physician recognized for his use of leading-edge techniques in all areas of adult reconstruction. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, where he also completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Gerber further refined his expertise through a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Dr. Gerber is chief of total joint replacement surgery at South Nassau Communities Hospital and director of its Long Island Joint Replacement Institute, the youngest director in the hospital's history. He has presented at numerous national conferences about his innovative techniques in hip and knee replacements.

He was highly recommended by 3 friends (all from different social circles). I had another doctor who was dismissive and never answered my questions about the pain I was experiencing for over a year. The wait for Dr. Gerber was a bit long but it was well worth it. I did not feel rushed. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I finally know why I have been experiencing pain and there is now a plan to remedy the situation. He exceeded my expectations.

Location was close, rooms were immaculate, everyone was so nice and helpful, and easy to talk to. The wait was about 15 min. To go into a room. I was in and out of the office in about 40 min including having an X-ray done. Dr. Gerber was awesome!!!

Dr. Gerber took out my partial knee replacement & gave me a full replacement in 2021. I saw him for pain in the same knee & after x-rays he explained my diagnosis & reassured me the replacement was intact & my range of motion was great.

He is a good doctor but there is always a long wait. The system for scheduling cortisone injections is crazy. You schedule the date but not the time. The office calls you the day before the injection and tells you what time to show up. So you have no say over the time and have to leave the whole day open. I was there for 3 hours. About 2 hours and 55 minutes was spent waiting and about 5 minutes was spent having the shot.

The staff was very nice. From the front desk, to the doctors assistant and the PA. Dr. Gerber was professional and to me he was a regular guy. We spoke briefly of sports and things of that nature. He explained everything clearly and listened as well. Why cant all doctors have this demeanor? Highly recommended.

I saw the Dr twice. Both times he was very abrupt and quite dismissive. Almost like I was bothering him. Told me I needed surgery and that was it. No other options. No explaining anything. And the wait time was unacceptable over 1 hour. Quite ridiculous. Would never use Orlin and Cohen EVER again. It is a factory!!!!!

A long wait and a not so pleasant receptionist but once I was seen the PA was great as was the x ray technician and the doctor. I got a cortisone shot for a bad knee that worked immediately and went on my trip to Ireland the next day!
