Getting to know Dr. Brandon Baker
I believe that people generally do their best with the tools, knowledge, and experiences they have at hand. One of the key elements of mental health care is to help enlighten patients and provide them with additional tools, unique knowledge, and a nurturing experience to foster greater emotional strength and resiliency. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my residency in Psychiatry at Larkin Community Hospital, which has equipped me to support patients effectively on their journey to mental wellness.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I like to do a lot of "check-ins" to see how a client is feeling regarding their emotions, their treatment plan, and just generally their well-being. I look at health care as a collaboration between a patient and a provider, rather than a "this is what I am telling you to do..."
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I like to take time gathering history and listening. Most people have the pieces of information that will encourage their own health, and I feel listening to people is the best way to arrive at a favorable outcome.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $350 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $150 for 30 minutes
- Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
