Dr. Brendan McClafferty comes to Bloom Health Centers with over a decade of experience in the field of psychiatry. His experience includes managing psychopathology including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, affective disorders, and treatment-resistant conditions, utilizing a combination of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and interventional modalities like ECT to optimize patient outcomes.
Dr. McClafferty grew up in the Washington, D.C., area and, after years of education and training, chose to return to the region to serve the community that shaped him. Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active through soccer, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with family. He values a balanced lifestyle and believes that personal well-being plays a key role in providing the best care for his patients.
