About Dr. Brent Yanke
Dr. Brent Yanke is a fellowship trained urologist in minimally invasive techniques who has been practicing since 2007 in New Jersey and Brooklyn. He has completed well over 1,000 robotic cases, treating diseases such as prostate, kidney and bladder cancer as well as urinary tract reconstruction. His expertise also lies in endourologic surgery treating diseases such as ureteral, renal pelvis, and bladder cancer as well as all types of urinary stones. For the past five years, Dr. Yanke has trained residents in Urology from several New York programs winning teacher of the year from SUNY Downstate in 2015. Dr. Yanke earned his Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Neuroscience and Art History at the University of Pennsylvania and his Master’s Degree in Public Health at Columbia University. In 2000, Dr. Yanke earned his Medical Degree at Stony Brook, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then completed his residency at SUNY Downstate followed by the completion of the Bard-Bagley Fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Yanke has been involved in several research projects, working at SUNY Stony Brook, UC San Diego, USC Norris Cancer Center, and University of Pennsylvania. He has been an author of articles across several urologic journals as well as written book chapters in several texts.

I usually have to deal with doctors who make it feel like you’re doing them a favor by scheduling an appointment but Dr.Yanke was the complete opposite. I felt like he was attentive and non-judge mental. You don’t realize how average some doctors are until you switch and get quality service.
Dr. Yanke listened intently to what I have been going through. Afterwards he made suggestions as to the next steps concerning my urological care. The next steps will be the procedures he will be performing. If that goes as well as my initial consultation visit, then he will be the urologist that I will recommend friends and family to.
