About Brianne Medina
Brianne is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a passion for whole-patient care; understanding that health is affected by unique physical, environmental, and psychosocial factors. She believes that health is not just the absence of illness, but the promotion of wellness.
She completed a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Studio Art in Photography from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005 before discovering her interest in healthcare. After a brief hiatus as a “ski-bum” in Mammoth, she returned to her hometown of Los Angeles and attended Mount St. Mary’s University where she attained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from UCLA in 2016.
Brianne has past experience in cardiology, aesthetic dermatology, women’s health and urgent care, but has spent the majority of her career working in the Emergency Department (ED). She has witnessed firsthand the complications that can arise from uncontrolled chronic conditions and disparate healthcare access. Brianne has also seen how effective and efficient primary care can improve both well-being and quality of life. She is thrilled to be joining Lew Medical as a primary care provider and looks forward to providing compassionate and collaborative care to her community.
For enjoyment, Brianne loves spending time outdoors, growing organic fruit and vegetables, camping, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, traveling, and most of all raising a rambunctious toddler with her loving husband.
