Philosophy of care I believe health is more than the absence of disease. Health promotion and disease prevention are key aspects of the care I provide. My philosophy focuses on meeting a patient where she is on her health care journey and creating a partnership to achieve her personal health goals. I couple my own personal experience as a patient with my knowledge as a nurse practitioner to provide quality, compassionate, and empathetic care. Why I entered medicine My mom is a nurse, so I have had lifetime exposure to the world of health care. Witnessing the differences my mom continues to make in the lives of others is undoubtedly something that drew me to nursing. Helping others while forming long-term provider/patient relationships is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life. Education and training I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and completed my Master's in Family Nursing at DeSales University, which equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Community involvement I am an active member of my church here in the Lehigh Valley and enjoy donating to those in need. Personal interests Traveling to tropical destinations is one of my favorite things! Relaxing on the beach with a good book brings me so much happiness! I also enjoy spending time with my family, including my husband and our two dogs, Hank and Opie.
