I had the good fortune of over ten years of experience practicing and teaching yoga and meditation before completing undergraduate studies in Biology and Physical Therapy/Allied Health at the University of Connecticut and have greatly appreciated the growing awareness of the benefits of yoga and mindfulness over the past few decades. My interest in supporting the health and self-empowerment of others has continued to be a central focus of my practice after completing my studies in Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1984. I hope to continue to learn from people I see in my practice and maintain a commitment to continued education. My certifications as a Lifestyle Physician, study of the Ayurvedic approach to mental health, and training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy reflect my understanding that whatever I've learned over the years is very little compared to what more there is to know.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
