Dr. Calvin Lei is board certified in Internal Medicine. He was born and educated in Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar (Burma), where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Medicine 1. After moving to the US in 1990, Dr. Lei completed his residency at Saint Mary's Medical Center.
Dr. Lei is an active member and served as the President of the United States Burmese American Medical Association. He is devoted to mentoring medical students in the Burmese community, many of whom have become doctors serving their communities.
Outside of work, Dr. Lei enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.

I went to Dr Lei since I was falling sick very often. He suggested doing blood tests and I went to the lab immediately the next day to get them done. The lab results took a week to arrive but it took a month for the doctor to get back to me about my test results. I do not appreciate the time the doctor took to get back to me about the results. In fact, I had to call the doctor's office and ask about the status of my results.

Dr. Lei is very professional. I was his patient at his old office and followed him to VCPA. Dr. Lei also took care of my father. He is very kind and explains treatment in detail. He is a good person. My wife is also a patient of Dr. Lei's.

Dr. Lei has very good bedside manner. Reaction is very tempered to the situation. I was diagnosed with lymphoma and Dr. Lei stayed by my side and guided me through treatment. He even visited me in hospital on a Sunday.
