Carey graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University in 2002 and has a background in pediatric intensive care, pediatric sedation and infusion, and pediatric oncology. She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program through Fort Hays State University to earn her master’s degree in 2015. She has been working in the Emergency Department as an advanced practice provider for the last several years, where she particularly enjoys taking care of pediatric patients. She has experience in large centers, as well as at several rural hospitals within the state. This experience has shaped her practice to work with pediatric patients and their families to maximize their health. She is a firm believer in taking time to provide education to make patients and everyone involved in their care comfortable. She is an enthusiastic advocate for her patients. She enjoys fitness, traveling, movies, self-care and pampering, and spending time with her twin sister, friends and family.

Unclear communication, relieved several texts from numerous phone numbers, so I missed a message about filing out paperwork. Let me waiting didn't show, then text saying if I filed everything now, she would still see me the same day. I filed the paperwork and sent it back, and she said she would be in touch.

My experience was phenomenal. I was so worried I was going to have to wait months to have my prescriptions refilled, but after 20 minutes of thorough questions and listening to my needs to ensure I was receiving the proper dosage of each medication, I had my prescriptions ready at the pharmacy and was given enough to get me through until I can see my PCP. I highly highly recommend this provider to anyone who will listen. I cannot say enough good things.
