“Dr. Atallah was very personable and friendly. However, I had a virtual appointment which I found pretty unspectacular. I was basically told a bunch of things I already knew, with no treatment for my condition. I would think that maybe an in-person visit would be better, but can't speak to that. ”

About Dr. Carl Atallah
Dr. Carl Atallah is a Board Certified internist and gastroenterologist. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Atallah earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology at Midwestern University in Chicago.
During his fellowship, Dr. Atallah was a clinical assistant professor at Midwestern University and enjoyed his time teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Atallah treats patients holistically and with respect. He strives to offer patients advanced treatment options while keeping in mind the best comprehensive care for each individual. Dr. Atallah is currently a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
In his free time, Dr. Atallah enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

A young doctor with old school bedside manner. Took the time to listen thoroughly to my symptoms and concerns; gave me clear options on how to proceed forward. At the end of the appointment, he asked me what my thoughts were, what option I was comfortable moving forward with and if there was anything he missed (a rarity with most doctors today). Highly recommend him.

This was my first appointment / consultation with Dr. Atallah. He has very good bedside manner and really listened to my symptoms and medical history. He was also helpful in trying to get me scheduled for a colonoscopy at the earliest availability, whereas Northwestern told me I would have to wait almost 2 months.

My tele health appointment was very helpful while office visits are limited due to COVID. Because it was a follow-up on something I had already seen him about and gotten a test done for, I actually thought I got just as much out of the tele health as I would have in person and would use this option in the future.

I want to see Dr. Atallah for a colonoscopy. Initially I was quite nervous but after my first meeting with Dr. Atallah I felt very at ease. The scheduling was easy and the procedure was actually very easy. Doctor Atallah made the whole situation seem like a breeze. I would definitely recommend Dr. Atallah to anyone.
