About Dr. Carlos Salama
Carlos Salama, MD, is a board-certified infectious disease physician with expertise in a wide range of conditions, including HIV and HIV resistance, tuberculosis, diabetic foot infections, osteomyelitis, malaria, liver abscesses, post-surgical infections, prosthetic joint infections, hepatitis C, and hepatitis B, among others. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Montefiore Medical Center: Einstein Campus.

Wonderful person and doctor. Although I did not think I had an infectious disease I am trying to figure out what my symptoms are as I was hit by many all of the sudden months ago and a friend suggested it. Have been to so many doctors and Dr. Salama listened which is hard to find and we reviewed what we could and he helped explore with me as much as he could and gave advice where able and have a theory or two and giving my body a little more time now that some parts are better if if have multiple issues. I would go back to him if I still can’t solve my mystery because he listens and it is good to get his thoughts. Very down to earth and kind. Also very clean office and nice staff.
