"Allow me to hold space for your healing journey." I offer authentic acupuncture-what does that mean? The holistic approach to acupuncture includes a diagnosis based on East Asian Medicine. This isn't limited to dry needling certification learned in a weekend. As a board certified acupuncturist and herbalist by the only national accrediting body in the USA NCCAOM my treatments are based on a comprehensive assessment of each individual patient. My education in acupuncture is supported by over 2500 hours of coursework in the state of Florida. I have been immersed in Holistic Medicine since 2001 starting training in shiatsu at the OHASHI Institute in NYC. Continuing studies in Chinese Medicine (CM) at Pacific College of Health and Science in 2013 and completing the Masters's level training in CM, receiving the degree of Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and graduating with honors-Magna Cum Laude in 2019. Additionally, a DONA-trained birth doula and certified Perinatal Educator with Florida's Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery since 2019. She has attended numerous joyous births in NYC and Florida since 2016. NCCAOM board-certified herbalist, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), certified in Acupuncture Point Injection therapy (APIT) and additional training in western herbs and reproductive oriental medicine.

Carmen is very knowledgeable, and doesn’t just treats you but educates you on what she is doing and why. If there is something you want to know and doesn’t know the answer she will find the answer and explain it to you. She is very kind and patient and for my first doula experience I couldn’t imagine picking anyone else.

I was determined to try all 6 of the acupuncturists that are in my plan network and then stay with the BEST one, and report to my 175 coworkers who was best. But frankly, there was such a great difference between Carmen and the first one I visited that I did not want to look any further. Despite her location being the farthest away for me I make the drive.
I couldn’t imagine anyone else taking that much time per session. She has little extra things she does to enhance the session. If you are looking for medical professionals who still take the time to get to know the patient, Carmen is your acupuncturist. I leave feeling like I got a hybrid Medical/spa treatment.

I first went to see Carmen as I was struggling to make enough milk for my newborn. With the help of acupuncture and herbs I was able to double the amount of milk I was producing. I later developed other discomforts and she has been able to alleviate those discomforts too. She has always checked in not only on me but also my son. She is the most compassionate and knowledgeable doc you can find.

Dr. Ramirez is one of the most compassionate and empathic healthcare professionals that I've had the fortune to be treated by. She made me feel heard and respected and that's not something we can get everywhere nowadays. Wait time is minimal and her bedside manner is very down to earth and welcoming.
