My name is Caroline Sam, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose training and experience have equipped me with the necessary skills to deliver compassionate and empathic mental care to children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly to optimize health outcomes. I graduated with a master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. In addition to medication management, I offer psychotherapy. My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use, OCD, and ADHD(ONLY NON-STIMULANT MEDICATIONS). I have over seven years of experience working in mental health and have served a highly diverse population.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am trained to provide a comprehensive range of mental health services, including conducting assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, providing therapy, and educating patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
My mission as a psychiatric mental health practitioner is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals and families affected by mental illness. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where my patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to take control of their mental health. Through a collaborative approach that integrates medication management, therapy, and holistic interventions, I aim to improve the quality of life of my patients and help them achieve their full potential.

Horrible, talked to her for 5 minutes and once she told me she couldn’t prescribe me concerta we ended the call. Now she’s trying to charge me even though she didn’t do anything for me at all. I had also she was a horrible listener and seemed like she didn’t care one bit. I emailed her asking if she was going to charge me and she didn’t care to respond! Horrible, save your time and money, I wish I had.

During my recent interactions with Caroline Sam, her demeanor was consistently hostile. In both phone calls, I had to reach out to her to obtain any information regarding my televisit. However, she was unprepared during my appointment and was still reviewing my documents. Despite initially stating she would be ready in five minutes, it took her ten minutes. Even after 20 minutes had passed since my appointment time, she remained unapologetic for the delay. When I attempted to express my concerns, she consistently talked over me, and she eventually hung up when I informed her of this and expressed my decision not to proceed with the appointment. Ms. Sam's lack of readiness and apology before or during the appointment was disappointing and unprofessional.

I was having a hard time logging in so I called the number that was available and the person that answered the phone simply said hello I said is this Zocdoc with the office of and I said her name and she said well this is Caroline Sam and I said oh OK well I was just wondering if if we were going to have our appointment and she said what appointment I said the one I scheduled for 430 she said I didn’t know anything about it. I guess we can have your appointment right now. She was driving home, and when I got to the point where my psychiatric needs at the time, the meds that I was taking in the meds that I was needing, which I very clearly stated right up front, she didn’t even ask me questions I told her everything upfront and she simply said I will not care for you. I do not cover psychiatric care I said well then you need to take that off of your website because your website says that you are specialized in psychiatric care ?
