My focus My patient focus is on diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD/ADD, eating disorders, insomnia, personality disorders, seasonal affective disorder, and ACE. My approach My approach to patient care is a combination of integrated patient-centered and culturally competent care to diverse populations that also includes meeting the patient where they are. Developing a rapport with my patient creates a foundation that builds on health promotion and prevention. My communication style I communicate by establishing trust without bias with my patient, thus creating a safe environment that is conducive to facilitating optimal outcomes. My journey to mental healthcare I began working in the mental health field to assist and advocate for those in need in this area of healthcare. I am driven by compassion, empathy, and the desire to contribute to the development of improved health outcomes, both physically and psychologically. My goals for you I encourage my patient to utilize self-reflection to determine their needs. To develop SMART goals—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound—to empower them to actively shape their emotional world instead of just reacting to it.
