Dr. Maldonado Garcia earned her Bachelor's degree from Universidad de Puerto Rico and completed her Doctor of Medicine at Ponce Health Sciences University. She then pursued an Internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami, FL, where she also completed her Residency in Internal Medicine. During her residency, she combined expertise and diverse clinical knowledge to improve the quality of life of each patient she encountered. This was the first time I have ever visited a doctor and not wanted to go back. When I got to the location, the waiting room was tiny. Everyone there spoke primarily Spanish and was older, so I'm pretty sure that I do not fall under their general patient base. Also, my first visit I had blood drawn and it was really unprofessional. I actually had to ask the nurse if he was going to put on gloves or not... this was just one of the health violations that were obvious in this room. It ended up that I had to have scheduled a follow up appointment because the Doctor was too busy to see me that day. When I went, I had given them a sheet of paper from my work the clearly indicated the procedures that needed to be done, and this seemed to be a complicated task for them since they weren't sure what to do (the procedures were simple ones like height, weight, etc). All in all, I will not go back. But once I was finally able to sit down and talk with the doctor, at least she was nice.
