About Dr. Casey Pierce
Casey M. Pierce, MD is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon, fellowship-trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Seton Hall University's Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Dr. Pierce also holds a bachelor's degree from Colgate University. He completed a specialized fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, Alabama, learning under world-renowned mentors: Dr. James Andrews, Dr. E. Lyle Cain, Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, and Dr. Benton Emblom. He received specialized training in treating hip and pelvis injuries, hip arthroscopy, and sports hernia surgery with Dr. Benton Emblom and Dr. Michael K. Ryan. During his time in Alabama, Dr. Pierce cared for three football teams (University of Alabama, Samford University, Shades Valley High School), the Birmingham Barons (Chicago White Sox AA affiliate), the WWE, and the Birmingham Ballet.
Dr. Pierce returned to New Jersey in 2018 to begin private practice and is the head team physician for Montclair State University and the Sussex Miners minor league baseball team. He also cares for over 16 local high school teams in the community.
Dr. Pierce specializes in shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee disorders. He is trained in up-to-date arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures designed to hasten recovery for adult and pediatric patients, athletes and non-athletes alike. He also manages injuries non-operatively when possible and performs ultrasound-guided PRP and stem cell injections. Additionally, Dr. Pierce is certified to perform robotic-assisted hip and knee joint replacements using the MakoTM robot.

Very knowledgeable. Good doctor to see for sports related injuries. Wayne Valley Imaging MRI center is located in the same building as their Wayne office. Very possible to make an MRI appointment and an appointment with the orthopedist back to back.

The office staff was really helpful and supportive of getting a last minute appointment scheduled for a knee issue. And Dr Pierce has awesome mannerisms and was great in helping an active teenager manage through ongoing knee issues.
