About Dr. Cassandre Charles
Dr. Charles completed her surgical training in 2022 at DVA-VA Maryland Health Care System and Sinai Hospital/Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics, and a fellowship training in 2023 at the VA Western New York Healthcare System Comprehensive Limb Salvage Fellowship. She had extensive exposure to surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle pathologies by fellowship-trained podiatric foot and ankle surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, and infectious disease specialists.
She has a special interest in sports injuries of the foot and ankle, limb salvage of the foot and ankle, foot and ankle reconstruction, including arthroscopic surgery and joint restorative techniques, and minimally invasive surgery for bunion and Achilles pathology.

I got there 20mins early to make sure my paperwork was completed. I made my appointment for 1pm. Right after lunch. I figured no one should be running behind. I left work for this. I'm a nurse myself. I'm on my feet all day. I needed this appointment. By 1:45 I still had not been seen. By this time I had to leave to get my child on time. I'm very disappointed. None of my issues were able to be addressed. Nothing resolved. I'm not going back. I told the staff i had to leave and it didn't seem to matter. They were nice but it doesn't matter when you're waiting a hour for your appointment.

The nurse who came before the doctor was adamant that I needed an X-ray for a fungal infection… I said no, and she seemed bothered I didn’t want to do it. It took the doctor about 35 minutes to see me after that.

The podiatrist Dr. Charles was amazing. She was pleasant and engaging and really broke down my ankle/foot issue in a way that was easy to follow. Her staff were all friendly and welcoming as well! I would gladly recommend her to anyone seeking help with a foot or ankle injury.
