What should a new client know about working with you?

I see in person and virtual appointments in adults, geriatric, and children populations. I specialize in mood disorders like depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health illnesses including ADHD, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders. I take a collaborative approach when it comes to taking care of my patients. We need to come up with a plan we both think is feasible and will work for you for it to be beneficial. PLEASE NOTE I AM A PSYCHIATRIC PROVIDER MEANING I PRIMARILY DO MEDICATION MANAGEMENT. ANY THERAPEUTIC SERVICES PROVIDED ARE ALONGSIDE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT. IF YOU BOOK WITH ME FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY/THERAPY I WILL COMPLETE A FULL ASSESSMENT AND PROVIDE YOU WITH USEFUL RESOURCES FOR YOU TO CONTINEU YOUR MENTAL HEALTH JORNEY.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach centers on warmth, patient-centeredness, and collaboration, covering psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive psychotherapy (during medication management sessions). Furthermore, I customize treatment plans and may integrate non-pharmacological interventions and recommendations Please be aware that no-show fees apply to help cover the cost of reserved time. The fee for missed initial visits is $175 and $95 for missed follow-up sessions. These fees are not punitive, but necessary to ensure time and resources are used appropriately. If you have to get this visit for meds. refill get ready for have your blood test results and EKG checked by MD. And if you are female under 60 years old get ready for a pregnancy test and drug screen urine. They are offering urine test done at the office, but you do need to pay for. I didn’t want to pay for a pregnancy test . For a personal reason. After that you will have to see provider every month. This experience open my eyes and I will stop my meds taking for many years and try to find something else. Natural medicine. Wishing you good luck.

didn’t listen to my concerns or needs and very insistent on starting a process i didn’t agree with or was sure if i wanted to pursue

Professional and easy to talk to.

She was very understanding I was nervous going in for my first session. It’s a breath of fresh air when asked questions and I get to open up freely. Getting lab work done this week and going over the results in a couple weeks. She’s very thorough and I can tell it will be a positive experience for me going forward.
I am a veteran seeking help for my mental disorders and I am appalled by the disrespect Catalina Aragon showed me. After being open about what I am suffering with, I was literally asked to leave when I pushed back on how she would treat me. If you are looking for a psychiatrist that wants your input and will build your care plan together, go somewhere else. It is her way or the highway. Shame on you. The guy who helped me fill out the paperwork in the beginning was the only good thing about this place.

Pleasant visit. The office has great decor, and a relaxing ambiance. I did not mind waiting briefly. The assistants were both kind and helpful. Catalina was easy to talk with, and was quite thorough and reasonable. Would recommend.

My visit went excellent. I got offered genetic testing, lab work, she listened to me, and took me seriously. I am tired of meds that make me gain weight. Im glad she showed me options that should help more. Thanks doctor cat!
I have nothing but good things to say. I didn't wait at all. I got a medication that works. The office staff was EXCELLENT, and I feel like a millio bucks! Thank you Dr. Aragon!!!
I am so impressed, I have been to 20+ psychiatric providers in the past and NONE of them have ever offered me genetic testing or lab work to see what will work better for me. I have been on 20+ meds in the past and one test told us I don't even need meds, just vitamins. 10/10
