Hi there, I'm Celestin!
My name is Celestin Ekokobe, I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental health Nurse practitioner (PMNHNP-BC). I received a master’s in nursing from Georgia College and State University. I am passionate about providing quality comprehensive and compassionate mental healthcare to adults as well as brief supportive solution-focused psychotherapy. I provide non-judgmental evidence-based care and will work with patients to ensure their needs.
My approach
Mental health theories strive to explain human behavior development, psychologically, and socially. The theories I used behaviorism, biological, psychodynamic, cognitive, and humanistic are mostly used interchangeably in my practice.

Depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, PTSD, Postpartum Psychosis/anxiety, Alcohol and drug use issues
My communication style
I would address patients by name, and listen actively and empathetically. I will add my personal experience. Use clear and respectful language. I prioritize privacy and tranquility, offering comfortable seating, calming lighting, and an inviting decor that promotes relaxation and focus.
My journey to mental healthcare
I started my career as a critical care nurse working with people in some of their most painful and vulnerable moments. I realized that after discharge they had deeper problems that needed my attention. I went back to school to get my master’s degree in nursing in PMHNP to help with mental health, a sector in our healthcare system that I feel has been ignored.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting by introducing my patients to smaller, more immediate, measurable, and realistic goals that can help generate momentum in the recovery process while keeping therapy on track, monitoring change or progress.
My first session with you
MY first visit will be different from all other sessions. The initial visit is really a time for me to get to know my patients.

I paid for a psychiatry appointment where I was given a prescription— only my prescription was either never called in, or any difficulties with calling in my prescription were never communicated to me. I got in contact with this provider once to give her a chance to fix the issue, and I was told she would call in the prescription again; a week later, and my pharmacy is still telling me they don’t have my prescription. This is immensely frustrating and disappointing.
