Dr. Chanelle Ramsubick, MD

Psychiatrist
CA
This isn’t one-size-fits-all psychiatry. I’m Dr. Chanelle Ramsubick, a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in ADHD evaluation and treatment for adolescents and adults, with a focus on women with ADHD and neurodivergent professionals. Many of my patients are high-functioning women, entrepreneurs, and professionals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. They may struggle with focus, burnout, executive functioning, anxiety, or chronic stress, often without realizing that ADHD may be part of the picture. ADHD in women is frequently missed or misunderstood. Research shows the average age of diagnosis for women is around 30, after years of being told they simply have anxiety or need to try harder. ADHD is often an invisible disability, and many people work incredibly hard to compensate while still feeling like something isn’t quite right. Having lived in Toronto, New York City, the Caribbean and Oakland, I’ve worked with people from many different cultures and backgrounds. My approach recognizes that mental health is never cookie-cutter—people deserve care that truly fits how their brain works.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Many people come to my practice after seeing multiple therapists and doctors without finding someone who truly understands how to optimize their life. They may appear high-functioning while struggling with focus, burnout, anxiety, or executive functioning challenges. Care begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation with me, especially for ADHD in women, adult ADHD, anxiety, burnout, and other neurodivergent conditions. I stay actively involved while ongoing visits may be with my psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Sessions are flexible: 15, 30, or 45 minutes, virtual or in person. We also offer supervised therapy and soon psychological testing so you get everything in one place. My goal is to help you understand your brain, get effective treatment, and build strategies to thrive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

What to expect at your first visit: •You’ll meet with me to review your history, symptoms, and goals. I focus on ADHD in women, adult ADHD, anxiety, burnout, and neurodivergent care. •Ongoing care will be managed by my psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with my active oversight to ensure coordinated, personalized treatment. •We use a collaborative approach to review your progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed for real-life results. •All sessions are virtual, designed for busy professionals and entrepreneurs on the go. •We can provide letters for work accommodations or paid family leave to support your life and career.
